Our Peer Support Program begins with a Peer Support Camp for our senior students in Term 1. At this camp the students learn the program that they deliver during Term 2 to all students at the school. It is a very successful program and has contributed to fostering a caring and supportive school atmosphere.
It is a significant and vital component of the school's Student Welfare Program. The leadership skills gained by our senior students are evidenced in other school activities e.g. Buddy Classes, The Year 6 Fun Day, Talent Quests and the weekly School Assemblies.
The leaders present tasks promoting friendship, tolerance, communication skills and anti-bullying. All the students work together on the planned interactive and fun activities. Each year the children of our school experience this rewarding program during Term 2.
